Welcome to the Christian Brothers' Sports Association Rugby League Web Site.

For over fifty years the CBSA has provided competition in a range of sports for Catholic Secondary Schools in Sydney. Rugby League competitions are run in three age groups each Thursday afternoon during Term 2: Under 14, Year 10 Open and Opens. Matches in the Under 14 and Year 10 Open divisions are played on a home and away basis whilst all Opens matches are played at a central venue.

Participating schools include:

Christian Brothers' College Burwood
St Mary's Cathedral College Sydney
Good Samaritan Catholic College Hinchinbrook
Holy Spirit College Lakemba

Casimir Catholic College Marrickville
Marist College Penshurst
St Charbel's College Punchbowl
De La Salle College Revesby Heights

Draws and weekly results for each division can be found by clicking the links to each age division. Grand Finals will be held at Belmore Sports Ground on Thursday 4th July.

2001 premiers were:

Under 14: Holy Spirit College Lakemba
Year 10 Open: Holy Spirit College Lakemba
Open: Holy Spirit College Lakemba

The Association also provides students a pathway to selection in the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges Rugby League Team by fielding an Under 15 team in the NSWCCC Rugby League trials. The pathway for Senior Students is via the Sydney Independent Catholic College's team. In 2002 the NSWCCC trials are being hosted by the CBSA and will be held on 17th-18th May at Belmore Sports Ground.
